About Our Cigars

The Process of our Cigars at Our Factory.

  • During this process, the tobacco leaves are constantly turned and rotated so they will ferment evenly. The fermentation process in pilones takes from 3 to 5 months.

  • Once ready, the tobacco is taken to the fabric where the leaves are carefully selected.

  • Tobacco being humidified.

  • After being humidified, the leaves are placed on grills to be opened

  • Once more, the leaves are dried in a hermetically sealed room.

  • Workers specialized in choosing and separating the leaves to be given to the tobacco master rollers.

  • The leaves are being carefully graded in stacks according to size, color and quality.

  • Tobacco leaves are moistened again to protect the fragile leaf from breaking.

  • Leaves are classified based on their color and quality of layers.

  • Workers are choosing the layers, which will be given to the rollers, along with the other tobacco blends.

  • This is where the tobacco gets hand-rolled by master rollers.

  • A roller uses various types of leaves to make a cigar.

  • First, the filler is prepared. Its texture feels light and dry.

  • Next, the binder, both banda (stemmed leaf) and capote (unstemmed leaf) is applied.

  • It´s important to have a perfect blend of the elements during the rolling process.

  • Rolled tobacco.
